I love to backpack! Once a year, for three days…that’s all I can handle.

Nate Healy, of the SLC Utah area , is a UX/UI Designer looking for a position with a company in the innovation field. He likes discovering/backing assumptions with research, but particularly enjoys ideating solutions/building prototypes with research.

Nate would like to work on a team that shares knowledge, creates incredible stuff, isn’t afraid to fail, and likes to laugh. Access to a fridge stocked with Diet Mtn Dew, doesn’t hurt either.

With a BFA in Design and a 21-month certification in 3D effects, Nate has been a visual designer for the last 10 years. Until recently, it was for ceiling-to-floor murals that surrounded the viewer and directed them throughout a retail space. Before that, he created monsters, heroes, and props for video games and other media.

Nate’s introduction to UX design came when his art team was asked to critique a prototype for the company’s new mobile app. The designer had done an excellent job and the app looked great. When the team asked for some of the reasoning behind the design, methods were described that relied on data! It was compelling. Nate became quite interested in UX, completed a 700-hour UX/UI bootcamp which included an industry design project, and is currently seeking a position as a UX/UI Designer.
